Parent Teacher Organization - Greek School
The PTO provides events that encourage and promote Orthodox Christian family values within our Pythagoras Greek School programs (PGS/PSGS). We are also here to raise funds for supplemental educational materials and learning tools to ensure that our students receive the best possible Greek education.
From September through June, the PTO host various events for our Greek Schools, including the different programs held thoroughout the year (Christmas, March 25th, End-of Year). We also participate and support participation in the Annual Greek Independence Day parade.
One of our biggest endeavors to raise funds, while at the same time offering a unique item for people to purchase, is our Pascha Lampada Sale. Our dedicated ladies use their talent to offer wonderfully decorated lampades to receive the Light of Christ on Pascha.
Our last event of the spring (leading into summer) is making delicious loukoumades for our Annual Taste of Greece Festival (June 2020).
We are always looking for parents to volunteer throughout the year and with the loukoumades. The effort put forth is worth it for our children, and parea amongst parents is an extra bonus.
